Riding technique 1. Smooth inputs: acceleration, braking and lean angle changes progressive. 2. Brake early, especially using the rear brake as a complement, and anticipate stopping distances. 3. Avoid slippery surfaces: painted road markings, studded crossings, manhole covers, diesel spills (rainbow sheen = very slippery). 4. Line choice: ride the dry/rough part of the road surface when possible. 5. First few kilometres: cold tyres + wet road = minimal grip, be patient.
