Failing ignition wiring: test without an oscilloscope

Typical symptom

Cold start OK, runs fine for 10-20 min, then misfire/stall. Wait 5 min → restarts. Repeats. → ignition wiring overheating.

4 tests with multimeter

  1. Coil resistance — primary (0.4-3Ω), secondary (5-15kΩ), test cold AND hot
  2. Spark plug cap — 0-10kΩ
  3. HT cable — visible spark at tip, blue and thin
  4. Pickup/CKP — 0.5-2V AC during cranking

Bonus: cold spray on each component when symptom appears, the one that "fixes" it is the culprit.
