Haibike AllMtn 7: uncompromising electric enduro

Haibike is a German e-MTB pioneer — they were among the first to take electric mountain biking seriously. The AllMtn 7 is their enduro e-MTB, designed for aggressive descents and big elevation days.

Yamaha PW-X3 motor

The AllMtn 7 uses the Yamaha PW-X3 motor, an alternative to the Bosch CX:

• 85 Nm torque (same as Bosch CX)
• Motor weight: ~2.75 kg
• 4 assistance modes + automatic mode
• Very natural pedalling response

The PW-X3 is an excellent motor with assistance that feels natural and progressive. Some riders prefer it to the Bosch CX for its smoothness in transition phases.

Note: some AllMtn models use Bosch CX or TQ HPR50 depending on year and version. Always verify the motor before purchasing.

160 mm: enduro travel

With 160 mm front and rear travel, the AllMtn 7 is a true enduro bike. That's 10 mm more than most trail e-MTBs (140-150 mm), and it makes a noticeable difference on committed descents.

Modular battery

Haibike offers a modular battery system on some models: main integrated battery 630 or 750 Wh plus an optional range extender (+500 Wh) for up to 1,250 Wh total.

The weight: the electric enduro compromise

At ~24 kg, the AllMtn 7 is heavy. That's the inevitable compromise of enduro e-MTBs: motor, XXL battery, and reinforced frame add weight. Climbing, the motor fully compensates. Descending, the mass brings stability and grip. It's in flat technical sections where the weight is felt.

The verdict

The Haibike AllMtn 7 is a serious enduro e-MTB, built for committed descents and big elevation days. The Yamaha PW-X3 is an excellent motor, and the range extender option is a genuine bonus for autonomy.
