Stumpjumper EVO: the trail bike that wants to do it all

The Specialized Stumpjumper is a mountain bike legend. The EVO version pushes the concept further with adjustable geometry that lets you switch from a playful trail bike to a mini-enduro in a few clicks.

Adjustable geometry: the real asset

This is THE feature that sets the EVO apart from the standard Stumpjumper. Thanks to a flip-chip at the main pivot point and headset cup options, you can adjust:

• Bottom bracket height: ±6 mm
• Reach: adjustable depending on flip-chip position

S-Sizing: rethinking frame sizes

On the trail

Descending, the EVO is impressively stable. The 150 mm rear travel and Fox 36 160 mm fork swallow everything. The geometry in the low position inspires immediate confidence in technical sections.

Climbing is slightly less magical. The bike is heavier than a typical trail bike (~13 kg) and the pedalling position isn't as efficient as the standard Stumpjumper. But with the flip-chip in the high position, it's still very respectable.
