BMC Roadmachine: Swiss precision in the service of comfort
BMC (Bicycle Manufacturing Company) is a Swiss brand based in Grenchen. While the Teammachine is their pure racing weapon, the Roadmachine is their endurance proposition: a bike that prioritises comfort on long distances without giving up performance.
TCC Endurance technology
The Roadmachine uses TCC (Tuned Compliance Concept) technology in its Endurance variant. The principle: software-calculated compliance zones that allow the frame to flex in a controlled manner to absorb vibrations, while maintaining stiffness where needed (pedalling, steering).
In practice, the seatstays are thinner and more flexible, the seat tube is profiled to flex vertically, and the top tube is lowered for optimised standover.
ACE+ technology
BMC uses ACE+ (Advanced Computer Engineering) to design their frames. It's a digital simulation process that optimises the carbon layup layer by layer. Each tube has a different profile and wall thickness based on the stresses it experiences.
