Lapierre Xelius SL: pride of Dijon
Lapierre is a French brand founded in Dijon in 1946. The Xelius SL is their versatile road bike, ridden by the Groupama-FDJ team on the WorldTour. It's a bike designed to do everything: climb, ride fast on the flat, and absorb the kilometres.
The UD carbon frame
The Xelius SL uses UD (Uni-Directional) carbon with a zone-optimised layup. High-stress areas (bottom bracket, seat tube/chainstay junction) get more layers for stiffness, while comfort zones are lightened.
Cable routing is 100% integrated: everything runs inside the frame, from cockpit to derailleur. It's clean, aerodynamic, and aesthetically successful.

The Xelius SL is neither a pure climber nor a pure aero bike. It's a versatile all-rounder:
