Cube Stereo ONE44: German precision on the trails
Cube is a German brand based in Waldershof, Bavaria. Less hyped than Specialized or Trek, they nonetheless offer quality bikes at often more accessible prices. The Stereo ONE44 is their 140 mm trail bike.
The C:68X frame
Cube uses their C:68X technology: a high-modulus carbon moulded with fibres oriented at precise angles to optimise stiffness and weight. The name references the carbon fibre percentage and multi-axial layout.
The frame integrates internal cable routing, UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) mounting, and rubber frame protectors at strategic locations. The finish is impeccable — that's the advantage of German engineering.
Aggressive geometry for a trail bike
The Stereo ONE44 has a decidedly modern geometry:
- Head tube angle: 64.5°
- Seat tube angle: 77°
- Reach (size L): ~480 mm
- Travel: 140 mm rear / 150 mm front
This is more aggressive than the average 140 mm trail bike. The Stereo ONE44 is clearly descent-oriented while remaining a capable climber.
