Road behavior: stability and longevity
The Anakee Adventure shines with its directional precision. At 130 km/h on the highway, no wandering even in crosswinds. Lean transitions remain crisp up to 45° of lean on dry roads. In the wet, confidence builds quickly: I measured a braking distance of 38 meters from 100 km/h on soaked asphalt with an Africa Twin CRF1100L, versus 42 meters with the K60 and 39 meters with the Tourance Next.

The Anakee Adventure works adequately on compact, dry dirt roads: gravel, hardpacked dirt, farm tracks. As soon as it gets slippery (mud, deep sand), the small center tread blocks spin quickly. On technical descents, engine braking is rarely sufficient and you must modulate the front brake delicately. Off-road use limited to 10% maximum if you want to maintain optimal road behavior.
The Tourance Next finds its balance on intermediate dirt roads: enough lugs to ensure adequate traction, radial carcass rigid enough to maintain trajectory. In soft sand, it sinks more than the K60 but remains predictable. On wet dirt, count on electronics (off-road ABS, traction control) to compensate for the lack of tread bite.
